I was walking down the road in the back of my mind,
Hopes and dreams perhaps I would find,
When a lady appeared in the back of my mind,
Not at all what I thought I would find.
The streets now crowded with memories
Hastening to remind me of my histories
And my dealings with this lady made of memories
Long lost in the mists of my histories.
And in this crowd in the back of my head,
Hopes and dreams of lives never led
All center round this woman in the back of my head,
And to her smile, it all led.
I saw her again, she gave me a knowing smile.
For that smile, I’d gladly walk a mile
But when she gives that smile, it’s harder to s
Wall of fire, tower of smoke, pillar of ash and ember
Fireflies, inferno height, flying through the air tonight
Wave of heat, tide of soot, pile of straw and timber
Fireflies, sun set bright, can’t you see the people’s fright?
Wall of fire, tower of smoke, pillar of ash and ember
Fireflies, endless flight, masters of burning might
Wave of heat, tide of soot, pile of straw and timber
Fireflies, spinning tight, can’t you see their desperate fight?
Wall of fire, tower of smoke, pillar of ash and ember
Fireflies, massive sight, casters of flaming light
Wave of heat, tide of soot, pile of straw and timber
Fireflies, why tonight?
The ocean lies out ahead
The grass the sea the sand
the deep soft breeze
bringing sounds of soothing waves
blocking out the noise within
where my family stirs, rushing' 'bout
as boredom fades, dinner comes
it's sweet smells dancing in the salty air
where I stand still
against rough wood rail,
as the sun begins to fail
my cousins sit, while I just stand
staring out, past the sand
the grass the sea the sand
and dream of staying eternally
just my family and me
on vacation, at the sea
First day’s light, endless bright
fairies we, always free to be
we see all there is,
your lives to live
your dreams to dance
your futures to face.
What we have seen, now we share
fearless be, then you see
that you, as we
will always be
fairy free.
Start we now, our first day’s scream
fearful we, nothing be
a peaceful place, if all alone
small and dark and warm.
as we once did see
Restful was
but now is gone,
so here we scream
in the cold bright light.
The only warmth we know
our mother’s love, the first we know
and now it touches us and we feel
just might be, fairy free
Now far we fly and farther stil
Poetry hinds, not in a room
not in a tune
not some place so near or so soon.
It lies in the heart that sets our true beat
It lies in the dust that covers old rooms
where the echoes of lost lovers
still whisper and swoon.
It hides in the twinkle of an eye,
from a sad old woman
who's lost love and shall nearly die;
yet never hope of faith has she lost
for soon she'll laugh and dance and sing again.
It dances in a child's smile
where laughter peels,
wild and free, all bright hope
for a sunny future, and a laughing life
that never sees a fog of fear
or the lanky panther of pain and loss.
Poetry isn't pain, but hope;
soaring son
Words can't tell, nor reason explain,
How without you, the sun ever rose.
So to mark the day, and the place and the time,
I made a new flower, a forever rose.
Normal ones age, they whither and die
This one is different, t'will ever grow.
Though cold days may come grim and grey,
Our rose will stay strong a forever glow.
Now I'm holding on tight afraid to let go
Afraid of losing my fiery rose.
But now I've let it go and it surrounds our hearts
and keeps us together wherever we goes.
So with hugs and kisses, and our sweet rose
know that I will love you forever Rhose.
In the silence, breath is heard
In the back, sleeping still
Lies a girl, a lady young
In early morning, sleep preferred
And dreams still 'scape the grinding mill
And hopes and fears still far flung
To those days that ways away
Always done with fun 'for fun is done
And soon the true be new once more
And tumbling towers give way
Give way to flowering fire and falling field
And dry drenching well of life
All sweep through steep stumbling skies
To stop and weep gold fairies made of fire flies
Showing now lonely lives and dying dreams
That never need be known again
Just flying future, o'er golden ground
And silver sky spotted just by fairy eyes
An
Underneath lightless sky
We sit in darkened bliss
Surrounded by the evening mist
Shadows clinging to time's next kiss
Passion faded, by common bliss
Dreams arranged, like a list
Love's now lost, like a kiss
Surrounded by the evening mist
Underneath star lit night
Do not look, my love, do not look. My garden’s grown wild, unkempt. The seeds I planted have blossomed into discordant petals and rotting fruit. My garden’s been watered by a dismal rain, spat contemptuously from the marble sky above. But I am undaunted. Although the weeds grow thick and tangle, and the thorns are long and sharp, I will make this my greatest work.
I will start my work when it’s cold and dead, and Discordia gives way to the somber ice. Against the cold I shall burn these poisons from my halls, thus turning tide on the traitors grown within my walls. But the cold can’t kill pain, and thorns remain sharp
